Ancuța’s Dolls, Târgu Mureș

Anca Chindea, known as Ancuța, arrived in Târgu Mureș a few years ago for a three-day exhibition. And she stayed. The exhibition “Ancuța’s Dolls” has become a permanent splash of color in the city. The room in the bastion has gradually become home to more and more dolls. And a place to escape from everyday life for those who climb the stairs and enter this fairy-tale space. Because yes, Ancuța welcomes us with a story. Or several. Depending on how long we feel like staying among the dolls and the traditional textiles.

The exhibition has become a small museum. Where admission is free. If we wish, we can leave a donation. Or we can buy a book, thereby contributing a little to the museum ourselves. In fact, another book by Ancuța has just been published. A book written at the urging of those who have crossed the threshold of the bastion. A book about the story of the exhibition. And I hope this story will be as long as possible. I hope to continue receiving for many years to come that sincere love and joy with which the “lady of the citadel” tells the story of her newest dolls.

If you visit the city of Târgu Mureș, be sure to stop by. It’s worth it. Because in addition to seeing a unique exhibition, you’ll be filled with positive energy...
